Open Create Lists in Sierra, find an empty Review File and click on the search Records button. The Query box will open. Set the Record Type to Item, since those are the types of records you are requesting.
Leave Range set as it is (to search the broadest set of records possible) and start to build your query. Limit your search to Items whose Location is your library. With your library set, click on Append Line to add another criteria to your query –
Append Line to add another line of criteria to your query. Set the limits to Items whose due date has already passed or between a particular date range.
Type: Item
Field: Due Date
Condition: Between
Value A: Start Date Value B: End Date*
Remember to Name the report and then select Search to generate the report. The report will run and retrieve the records that meet your search criteria. This will give you a total number of overdue items, to work with those records you will want to Export the records to a spreadsheet.
* You may want to use an end date a few days before the current date to not see items that are only a few days overdue.
