Age Group facet not displaying many results – RESOLVED

Problem: Clicking the Age Group facet to limit results to the appropriate audience level does not deliver many results.

Reported: 01/26/22

Resolution: The audience field in cataloged bibliographic records has been updated to include this value and the Age Group facet is now returning more results.

Please note that this field can only have one category assigned, and limiting searches with this facet may not always deliver all results for all collections, as some titles may be classified differently across multiple libraries.

For example, a record with this variety of location codes appears under the “Teen” Age group, but only 2 of the owning libraries have it shelved in their teen section. Another library has it in their adult section, and one in their children’s section. This title will not appear if the Age Group facet for Adult or Juvenile are applied.
