All vendors have been contacted by MHLS and have confirmed that our new IP address is in place. Heritage Quest is the only exception. They do not support multiple IPs, so the update is a scheduled service change for them on the morning of the 30th.
MHLS staff will be testing access using the following priority
- Centrally purchased E-Resources
- Reported access failures
- Resources posted on County HomeAccess pages
Please report any access failures to resources that your library or county purchases by sending an email to techsupport@midhudson.org.
Comprise will be making the edits on your behalf the morning of our move. The edits will be in place before you open, and there should be no steps for you to complete. That said, before opening we recommend that you run some quick tests to ensure access is working well. Test access using a valid and non-valid card to ensure that the service is working properly. Test adding money to an account and printing, then review the account. Also, create and test a visitor/guest pass.

Background:
Our Sierra server and related servers will reside in the ProQuest hosting facilities beginning Wednesday, March 30th. This move further consolidates Innovative within the ProQuest family. ProQuest was subsequently acquired purchased by Clarivate. Our services are subscription-based, and Innovative is able to determine the appropriate hosting source.
Issue:
The IP address for Sierra, Encore, and Decision Center are affected by the move and we have prepared for that move by reaching out to all vendors who use the Sierra APIs or Web Access Management to authenticate. We have also made all of the changes to manage the domain midhudsonlibraries.org, which will remain in place.
Action:
The information below should help you to understand the move, as it affects the resources and services within your library. In each of the areas below there is awareness, testing and potential for alerting MHLS by opening a support ticket. Envisionware libraries will need to take specific steps before opening on March 30th.
