Prior to using Print Templates, download and install Jaspersoft Studio. This is a free third-party program used to edit Print Templates.
Jaspersoft Studio works with files containing a jrxml (Jasper Reports XML) extension that use the paired tag style of XML. The Jaspersoft Studio Workspace is the directory where files are stored on the workstation. This is the same directory Sierra will navigate to retrieve files saved in Studio.
As of Sierra 2.0 SP2, Print Templates are compatible with Jaspersoft Studio 6.0.0. Customers on Sierra 2.0 SP2 and newer releases should use Jaspersoft Studio 6.0.0 to edit Print Templates.
Jaspersoft Directory:
In the installation you will be creating a new directory for Jaspersoft and within that directory a folder will be created to store your reports. Using that directory to download your templates is advised as the program bundles related files to be used with your template.
